Torta de asada

Frijoles- heat 1 Tbs butter to grease the pot, add 1 medium can of pinto beans (rinsed), 1/2 sliced onion, about 1 cup milk, 1/2 cup water (depends on how you like your beans, adjust as needed), 1 garlic clove, salt to taste, cover and let cook for about 15mins (or until beans are soft). Smash beans to your liking.
Carne asada – chopped, seasoned with garlic powder, onion powder, adobo, salt. Refrigerate for at least 1hr. Heat a pan with olive oil and 1 Tbs butter. Add carne, stir often.
Time to put it all together. Cut your bolillo and toast on a pan with butter. Then add beans along the bottom, add carne, lettuce, cilantro, queso, avocado or guacamole, Mayo on top half.
You can add whatever you’d like in your torta. Seasoned chicken breast, breaded chicken is also an option. Enjoy!
